Mike Colby – Executive Chairman and CEO

Before entering modular construction as a co-founder and board member of OMC, Mike spent nearly two decades in the financial services industry, most recently as President and COO of Goosehead Insurance (NASDAQ: GSHD). At Goosehead, Mike championed a technology-driven strategy and innovative distribution platform that changed the way consumers find and purchase personal lines insurance leading to unprecedented growth. Mike brings a spirited combination of rigorous analysis, disruptive creativity and environmental consciousness to every role, including his philanthropic ventures impacting education, veterans affairs and environmental sustainability in Texas and beyond. Mike holds a BBA in Accounting and MS in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Jed Thies – Chief Operating Officer

Jed’s decades-long construction career exceeds $10B in project value and 16M square feet built, and spans public and private sector construction nationwide, from NYC’s Hudson Yards to The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Jed has driven innovation in residential, commercial, mixed-use, government & military, high-rise, and super-high-rise design-build projects.  His acclaimed portfolio includes solutions for safe and cost-efficient operations; negotiating complex contracts; and a track record of lucrative and lasting partnerships fostered by Jed’s ability to find common ground.  Jed is leader of businesses and teams, dedicated to integrity and a rigorous process that inspires growth of buildings and careers.

Mark Colby – President and Chief Financial Officer

Mark, a co-founder and board member at OMC, brings years of experience in executive finance and accounting roles, including his previous post as Chief Financial Officer at Goosehead Insurance (NASDAQ: GSHD). At Goosehead Mark oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars of debt and equity raises, most notably the 2018 initial public offering, widely acclaimed as one of the most successful IPOs that year. Prior to Goosehead Mark worked in Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services and Audit service lines. He graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Accounting and a M.S. in Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Tyler Williams – Chief Revenue Officer

Tyler brings to OMC over a decade in the retail manufacturing sector, serving brands ranging from Nike, T-Mobile, and Boyds Coffee to Live Nation, MGM, and Royal Caribbean, while forging alliances with industry giants like Brown-Forman, Constellation Brands, and Beam Suntory. As Chief Revenue Officer, Tyler’s deep experience in industrial and tech innovation and his instinct for creative problem solving make him an ideal liaison for OMC’s clients involved in real estate development, government affairs, and housing policy and planning.

Matt Colby – Co-Founder

Matt has spent decades leading sales and business development efforts in the financial services space, most recently growing the franchise support team for Goosehead Insurance (NASDAQ: GSHD) to over 1,200 franchise locations in 48 states, yielding premium revenue of over $700M. Matt was simultaneously the co-founder and managing partner of Goosehead’s first US corporate satellite office. Through his role as a board member and in numerous company projects, Matt infuses OMC with a passionate focus on the happiness and well-being of every team member, believing this to be the best predictor of an organization’s success. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Political Science and Business Management. 

Steve Samples – Controller

Steve’s job description says he’s responsible for keeping an eye on the numbers at OMC, but it’s his rare combination of strengths – decades of experience in financial and operational management along with expertise in HVAC and construction – that make him so incredibly valuable. Steve increases profit and efficiency, guarantees transparency, and knows how to think creatively about ductwork, and his good humor and even keel make him a perfect fit on the OMC team.

Adam Hootnick – Strategy/Marketing

While his title highlights Adam’s work on company strategy, he spends just as much time thinking about company vibe – the way OMC’s story, work environment and products are experienced by our customers and our team. Adam’s background includes degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Law, and professional experiences ranging from law and policy to real estate investing and film production.
